MAE IRENE STONER

Mae was born July 31, 1910, in rural Cedar Rapids, Iowa, only child of George Arthur Stoner and Clara Mae Leidich. She died Sept. 23, 1996, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Solon, Iowa. She married Alphonso Paul Orrick Jr.on Oct. 26, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They had two daughters, both living.

Third Generation
GEORGE ARTHUR STONER

George was born July 20, 1880, in Linn County, Iowa, a son of George Methias Stoner and Caroline Rohrbacher. He married Clara Mae Leidich on March 22, 1905. He died Dec. 9, 1961 in rural Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Solon, Iowa. They had one daughter, Mae Irene.

Wachter was born May 27, 1883 in Boston, Mass., and died Oct. 4, 1950, in Marshalltown, Iowa. Both are buried in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They had one child: (daughter), Caroline Stoner, who was born March 22, 1910, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She married Harold M. Kauffman on Dec. 29, 1937, in Nevada, Iowa. They had one child, a daughter.
brother, John Vernie Stoner: (July 18, 1882 -�Dec. 2, 1958) On March 8, 1904, he married Etta Mae Dietrich (May 1, 1885 -�Oct. 16, 1969).
They had one child: (son), Ray John Stoner Sr., (April 30, 1911 -March 6, 1996) On June 18, 1932, he married Maxine Odean Garrett (Aug. 14, 1912 - 2000).� Both are buried in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They had one child, a son living.
brother, Herbert Albert Stoner: (June 6, 1889 -�Nov. 16, 1943) On Nov. 15, 1911, he married Lena Bokorney (Nov. 11, 1891 -�Aug. 20, 1962). They adopted two children: a son and daughter.

GEORGE METHIAS STONER

Born Feb. 16, 1852, in Johnson County, Iowa, a son of John Stoner and Elizabeth Lehman. He died Sept. 22, 1928, and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On March 12, 1878, he married Caroline "Callie" Rohrbacher.

They had two children: (son) Donald Stoner (March 28, 1904 - April 15, 1933)Donald was killed in an auto accident. He married Ruth Mabel Klenk on June 7, 1931. They had no children. (son) Wendyll Stoner (Aug. 31, 1909 - July 4, 1999). He married Lois Means (Sept. 26, 1909 - Dec. 10, 1996) on Sept. 9, 1930. They had no children.
7. (daughter) Adella Alice Stoner: (Dec. 12, 1881 - April 25, 1960) She married Edward Milton Wray (June 29, 1879 - Dec. 12, 1943) in 1909. She later married Lovell Oakes (April 1, 1875 - March 23, 1952) on June 20, 1944. They had one child: (son) Kenneth Bertram Wray (Dec. 28, 1907 - May 23, 1970) Kenneth married Irene Anastasia Smith on June 9, 1934. They had two children: a son, living.
8. (son) Glenn William Stoner: (Oct. 8, 1885 - June 14, 1960) He married Inez Viola Cheadle (June 16, 1889 - March 24, 1982) on Feb. 19, 1908. They had four children: two daughters (one living) and two sons (one living). Deceased is son Virgil Glenn Stoner (May 22, 1916 - Nov. 2, 2001).
9. (daughter) Faye Ferne Stoner: (July 5, 1888 - June 20, 1973) She married Oral Ramsey (Aug. 12, 1887 - March 5, 1941) on Nov. 30, 1910. They had five children: a son and daughter are living.

brother, Michael "Mike" Francis Stoner:Born Nov. 5, 1850. Died July 10, 1939. He married Harriet "Hattie" Bowman (Oct. 28, 1855 - May 5, 1920) on Nov. 7, 1872. They had four children:

(daughter) Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzy" Stoner (Jan. 24, 1874 - May 12, 1956) Sarah married Charles Wesley Lininger (Jan. 26, 1874 - April 8, 1941) on Dec. 29, 1897. They had three children.
(son) Martin Elmer Stoner (Jan. 23, 1876 - Oct. 13, 1934)Martin married Jessie Fry (March 10, 1880 - March 21, 1965) on Oct. 10, 1900. They had four children.
(son) John Wesley Stoner (March 7, 1878 - Aug. 22, 1951) John married Cora Elizabeth Greene (Dec. 4, 1880 - Aug. 6, 1901) on Oct. 18, 1899. He later married Burdette "Birdie" Wallick-Nost (Dec. 22, 1879 - Dec. 31, 1960) on Oct. 21, 1903. They had two children.

brother, Cyrus Lehman Stoner: Born Jan. 4, 1856, in Johnson County, Iowa. Died Jan. 29, 1896. He married Maggie Toohey (July 20, 1857 - June 21, 1946). They had six children:

brother, Marcus Dayton Stoner: Born Feb. 16, 1858, in Johnson County, Iowa. Died Oct. 26, 1925. He married Nancy Victoria Koser (Feb. 14, 1858 - Jan. 3, 1930) on May 31, 1881. They had three children:

brother, David Franklin "Frank" Stoner:Born Jan. 2, 1854, in Johnson County, Iowa. Died April 21, 1921, in Santa Maria, California. He married Mary Adeline "Addie" Collins (Oct. 13, 1862 - April 28, 1939) on Oct. 26, 1881. They had seven children:
(son) Donald Dale Stoner (Sept. 14, 1882 - July 30, 1939)Donald was born in Wakefield, Neb. He married Mary Fredrika Buck on Nov. 30, 1904. They had one son.
(daughter) Nina Irene Stoner (Sept. 9, 1883 - July 10, 1916) She was bvorn in Wakefield, Neb. She married George T. Trotter. They had one son.
(son) Franklin J. Stoner (Oct. 8, 1884 - ?) He was born in Wakefield, Neb. He married Lulu Jane Bush (May 22, 1887 - Jan. 17, 1966) on Aug. 16, 1905. They had two children.
(daughter) Fay Elizabeth Stoner (Jan. 8, 1887 - April 2, 1960) She was born in Wakefield, Neb. She married Herbert Edward Pheysey (Feb. 25, 1883 - March 20, 1944); and later married Perry Clark. One son was born.
(daughter) Azile May Stoner (July 19, 1892 - ?) She was born in Wakefield, Neb. She married Charles Frisbee. They had two children.
(son) Harvey Merton Stoner (Sept. 2, 1893 - ?) He was born in Ontario, California. He married Winnifred Watson. They had one daughter.
(son) Elbert Hugh Stoner (Sept. 20, 1894 -?) He was born in Ontario, California. He married Osie Bell Jones. They had three children.

Fifth Generation
JOHN STONER

John was born May 16, 1826, in Franford Township, Cumberland County, Pa., a son of David Stoner Sr. and Margaret Minnigh. He married Elizabeth Lehman on Jan. 6, 1846 in Carlisle (Cumberland County), Pa. They moved to Iowa in 1849, settling there May 3. The couple accumulated 1,500 acres of farmland, which was divided among their seven sons, and built seven sets of farm buildings for them. After Elizabeth's death, John married Catherine Saylor Von Stein Hoover on Jan. 3, 1909. John died Dec. 19, 1914, in North Liberty (Johnson County), Iowa.

brother, David Stoner Jr.: Born May 4, 1817. Died Oct. 25, 1875. On Dec. 10, 1842, he married Sarah Lehman (1816-1862) in Frankford Township, Cumberland County, Pa. Seven children were born. In 1872, he married Catherine Miller. The Stoner-Lehman children are:

twins - a son, and a daughter, Anna Elizabeth, born Oct. 28, 1846. Anna Elizabeth died May 4, 1900. On Sept. 20, 1867, she married Joseph Harry Work (Sept. 20, 1841 - March 19, 1924).
(daughter), Mary Ellen Stoner: (Feb. 23, 1849 - Oct. 27, 1903). Married July 12, 1871, to Samuel David Green (Aug. 8, 1847 - Sept. 22, 1916)

brother, Michael Stoner
Born March 10, 1825, in Carlisle Township, Cumberland County, Pa. In 1850, he married Susan Myers, daughter of Abraham Myers. She died in July 1852 after giving birth to a daughter. On Nov. 22, 1852, Michael married Isabell Warden (born April 8, 1834). Four children were born to this union. He served in the Civil War from October 1862 to July 1865 as a volunteer in the Ohio Calvary. After his military service, he moved to Homer, Michigan, where he took the name Harry Stone and operated a hotel. In 1876, he married Jessie R. Keller in Sylvania, Michigan. Michael died Dec. 8, 1903 in Homer Township, Calhoun County, Michigan. The Stoner-Myers and Stoner-Warden children are:
(daughter), Susan Ellen Stoner: Born July 10, 1852 in Plankton, Richland County, Ohio. Married S.W. Carr.
