1.  Isaac1 Carter was born 1790 in Colleton District, South Carolina, USA, and died 1854 in Appling County, Georgia, USA.  He married Eleanor Teston 26 April 1820 in Tattnall County, Georgia, USA.  She was born 1800 in South Carolina, USA, and died Bef. 1875 in Appling County, Georgia, USA. Isaac served in the South Carolina Militia, and in the War of 1812.  He immigrated from South Carolina to Georgia about 1819. Isaac is buried in Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia, which was located on his old home place.

 3 ii. Keziah Carter, born 12 March 1822 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 14 December 1895 in Pierce County, Georgia, USA. Keziah is buried in Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia.

 4 iii. Elizabeth Carter, born 17 March 1823 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 6 July 1898 in Patterson, Pierce County, Georgia, USA.  She married John Williams Aft. 1850. Elizabeth is buried in Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia.

 5 iv. George W Carter, born 2 April 1824 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 26 April 1892 in Bacon County, Georgia, USA.  He met (1) Mary Carter Bef. 1861.  He married (2) Mary Ann Bennett Abt. 1861. He served in Company G 4th Georgia Calvary, CSA, Civil War. George is buried in Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia.

 6 v. Elender Carter, born 1 July 1826 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 23 March 1890 in Ware County, Georgia, USA.  She married Edmund Corbitt. Elender is buried in Camp Branch Cemetery, Ware County, Georgia.

 7 vi. Stephen W Carter, born 1829 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 22 September 1863 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA.  He married Martha Tillman 1 February 1855 in Appling County, Georgia, USA. He served in Company B 54th Georgia Infantry, CSA, Civil War. Stephen is buried Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia.

 8 vii. Jane "Jenny" Carter, born 1830 in Appling County, Georgia, USA.  She married Howell Wasdin Abt. 1860 in Georgia, USA.
 9 viii. Isaac D Carter, born 17 May 1832 in Pierce County, Georgia, USA; died 10 August 1907 in Pierce County, Georgia, USA.  He married Nancy E Harrison Abt. 1871. He served in Company B 54th Georgia Infantry, CSA, Civil War. Isaac is buried in Friendship Cemetery, Bacon County, Georgia.

 10 ix. David Carter, born 23 February 1834 in Appling County, Georgia, USA; died 25 June 1912 in Appling County, Georgia, USA.  He married (1) Lucretia Henderson 11 May 1865.  He met (2) Mahalia Lucinda Aldridge Aft. 11 May 1865. He served in Company B 54th Georgia Infantry, CSA, Civil War. He is buried in Ten Mile Church, Bacon County, Georgia.

 13 xii. Nancy Carter, born 1843 in Appling County, Georgia, USA.  She married William Henry Hires. Nancy is buried in Patterson Cemetery, Pierce County, Georgia.
 

 11.  Jesse2 Carter (Isaac1) was born 1836 in Appling County, Georgia, USA, and died 12 May 1906 in Appling County, Georgia, USA.  He married Ann Mary Boatright Abt. 1864, daughter of Cashire Boatright.  She was born 14 May 1849 in South Carolina, USA, and died in Georgia, USA. Company B 54th Georgia Infantry, CSA, Civil War. He is buried in Bacon County, Georgia.

 16.  Jesse Enoch "Bum"3 Carter (Jesse2, Isaac1) was born 31 January 1871 in Pierce County, Georgia, USA, and died 19 May 1938.  He married (1) Essie ???.    He married (2) Mary Boatright.    He married (3) Eliza Ann Holton 18881.  She was born 20 February 1871, and died 4 March 1932.

 22 i. Jacob "Jake"4 Carter, born April 1889.  He married Evie McCarthy.
 23 ii. Molly Carter, born June 1892.  She married Carrollton Doc Williams.
 24 iii. Alonzo Stephen Carter2, born 1 July 1897 in Georgia, USA; died 10 February 1978 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, USA.  He married (1) Alma Lee Nails Abt. 1918; born 14 July 1899; died 9 September 1931.  He married (2) Minnie Lee Bell. Alma made Lonzo promise not to bring in another women in to raise her children after she died. So he didn't marry again until his three children by her were all married. He is buried in Corinth Church Cemetery, Bacon County, Georgia. It is believed that at the time Minnie and Lonzo married that Minnie was 16 and Lonzo was in his 40's.

 26 v. Joe Gordon Carter, born 9 July 1911 in Bacon County, Georgia, USA; died 24 November 1980 in Bacon County, Georgia, USA.  He married Mildred Julieanne Davis 14 November 1931; born 23 July 1914 in Pierce County, Georgia, USA. Joe Gordon was a farmer and an electrician.

 27 vi. Tom Carter, born Aft. 9 July 1909. No issue.
 28 vii. Maybelle Carter, born Aft. 1910.  She married Archie Peacock.
 29 viii. Retta Carter, born Aft. 1911.  She married Archie Wade, Jr..
