WYMAN J. JOHNSON-Waterloo-CW

A sergeant in Co. G. 85th NY Volunteers. He died 5/22/1864 in a Confederate Hospital at Raleigh, S. Car. He was located in a Confederate cemetery in Raleigh.  His remains were transferred 8/22/1916 to the National Cemetery in Raleigh.  He put the first scythe in the Scythe tree.

OB. Wyman James Johnson enlisted 10/29/1861 in Co. G. 85th NY Volunteers. Wounded at Plymouth N. Carolina and taken prisoner 4/20/1864. Taken to hospital at Raleigh and died of his wounds 5/22/1864. Buried there. born 1/1/1835 in Enfield, NH. Parents.
