Interpreting Results
. As more people join the group and get tested, further subgroups are likely to emerge, and it will be possible to build a better 'Mutation History' Tree and/or phylogram (the evolutionary diagram) and estimate when the various subgroups split apart from each other. Furthermore, because members in each of the subgroups will be more closely related to each other than to members of the group as a whole, this will help focus additional documentary research and allow more effective collaboration between individual participant's. In other words, the Y-DNA results will tell you who you should be talking to. No doubt the future holds more exciting revelations for the Spearin clan worldwide!
