10. Richard2 BURNOP (Jacob1)was born in 1828 in Brough Under Stainmore,
Westmorland Co., England and christened Jan. 27, 1828.[11],[12] He married
Margaret ? circa 1853 and died in April 1879 in Smyth Co., VA.[13]
Richard
immigrated circa March, 1858 from Westmoreland, England to PA then later moved
to Carroll Co., VA.[14] He was a
laborer on June 18, 1867 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA.[15] He was a
miner in 1870 in Carroll Co., VA[16] and a farmer on November 7, 1875 in Rich Valley,
Smyth Co., VA.[17] He left a
will on September 24, 1878 in Carroll Co., VA which is transcribed in the
“Items of Interest” section under “Family Wills.”[18],[19]
Margaret ? was born on February 9, 1835 in England.[20],[21] She died on April 28, 1909 at age 74 and is buried
in Ridgedale Methodist Church Cemetery in Smyth Co., VA.[22]
