20.  James P.³ BURNOP (Richard², Jacob¹) was born August 29, 1858 in Washington Co., VA^[1],[2] and married Rhoda Francis S. Richardson September 22, 1880 in Smyth Co., VA.^[3]

     James was a farmer with his residence between 1881 and 1889 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA (in 1881 listed as Ellendale).^[4],[5],[6] He lived in 1900 in the Marion District of  Smyth Co., VA.^[7]

     Rhoda Francis S. RICHARDSON was born on May 23, 1855 in Smyth Co., VA.^[8],[9] She died on May 19, 1923 at age 67 and is buried in the Atkins Cemetery in Smyth Co., VA.^[10],[11]

     Children of James P.³ Burnop and Rhoda Francis S. Richardson were as follows:

        41.        i.    Nancy E.⁴ Burnop; born January 8, 1881 in Ellendale, Smyth Co., VA;^[12] married James Glass December 28, 1898 in Smyth Co., VA; ceremony by L. Brown.^[13]

        42.       ii.    Annie E. Burnop; born September 17, 1883 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA;^[14],[15] married J. H. Waddell circa 1907.^[16]

+      43.     iii.    Margaret D. Burnop, born July 3, 1885 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA; married George W. Suthard.

+      44.      iv.    Richard Henry Burnop, born August 19, 1887 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA; married Margaret Ella Caudle.

+      45.       v.    George Robert Burnop, born November 19, 1889 in Rich Valley, Smyth Co., VA; married Mary Josephine Kegley; married Cora Deone.
